The Legends (aka Vets) are heading to South West London – a well trodden path from Hackney – but this time to play at Twickenham Stadium in the RFU Injured Players Foundation Vets Day.

The charity raises invaluable funds to help players who suffer catastrophic injury playing rugby – predominantly head and neck injuries – but providing physios, refurbishments to houses and gardens to adapt to their conditions and much, much more.

We’d be very grateful if you could help with our fundraising efforts for this fantastic charity. Here’s the link with an idea of how the money will be spent:

  • £40 a month pays for a gym membership to support a player’s rehab and recovery
  • £200 funds a wheelchair service or repair
  • £1,000 funds a PA for a month so that studying for a degree is possible
  • £2,000 makes a garden accessible

We’ll be taking the field on Saturday, May 25 along with friendly faces Wasps; Guy’s Hospital who were the team we first beat (albeit our strongest possible team beat their 3XV; Teddington, Evesham and Silhillians.

We would love it you could join us on the day – tickets are as reasonably priced as you’ll ever get at the stadium from just £10 and available here.
